Sociocracy helps participants to enhance and use their power, authority and influence to lead individuals, teams, organizations or communities with assurance and compassion.
Discover a decision making and governance method that allows an organisation to manage itself efficiently while incorporating the wisdom of every member. The Sociocratic Circle organisation method utilises four principles derived from systems theory which guide groups of people to self-organise. The self-organised system result is dynamic and provides a framework for:
- Honouring the viewpoint of every member
- Promoting egalitarian and mutual relationships
- Encouraging active responsible participation and
- Developing individual and group discipline
The Sociocratic method invites participation, inspires leadership and allows an organisation to flourish in a changing environment. Ultimately it can impact the way we deal with the “big” issues. You will see how the underlying principles of the sociocractic model make it well suited to contribute to adaptation in a rapidly changing world.
During the introduction you will be introduced to the fundamental principles that make sociocracy unique, and consider why this governance model follows as the next step on from democracy. We will examine the four underlying principles of sociocracy and how they work in practise. For example you will learn how the decision making and election processes differ from other models with opportunity for applied learning.
The facilitator training requires previous participation in a Sociocracy introduction, preferably with a certified trainer, and participation in a circle meeting.
